member of staff.
This position is primarily a driving position based out of our Frederick, Maryland headquarters. Our drivers start the day checking in at our truck yard. Here you will meet with other drivers, and the crew lead to discuss any time sensitive or special cases for the day. Most days are fairly routine, driving a pre-scheduled route for that assigned day. Drivers are typically on route for 6 driving hours, finishing back at the truck yard and taking care of their vehicles and loads for that day and prepping for the next.
Our drivers also have opportunities to work elsewhere in the business if workplace variety is important to them. We operate a farm where our high quality compost is manufactured. We also operate a distribution center in Hagerstown, MD, which is a large warehouse with daily shipping and receiving tasks.
Responsibilities
- Complete collection routes
- Drive safely and undistracted
- Give honest feedback to management
- Treat customers with kindness
- Pre and Post-check vehicles for maintenance issues.
Must Have
- Clean Driving Record
- Ability to move and lift moderate weights.
- General knowledge of computers and cell phone apps.
- Comfort with driving large vehicles (non-cdl).
- Interest in working with diverse team.
Nice to have
- Experience with larger vehicles.
- Experience with Skid-Loader or Farm Equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong mechanical skills
